STATEMENT BY FRANK KLEES

(Newmarket-Aurora) – The following is a statement from Progressive Conservative MPP Frank Klees:

“This morning, the Globe and Mail reported that I have leadership ambitions for the PC Party. That statement is false. My commitment to and reasons for my support of John Tory as Leader was made clear in the Op-Ed published by the Toronto Star on Friday, Feb. 22, 2008.

I have been and continue to be a steadfast supporter of John Tory as Leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario. The leadership review has come and gone with a huge majority of grassroots Party members declaring they do not want a leadership election. John Tory is our Leader and it is time for us to move forward together and focus on winning the election in 2011.”
